# MINOMO Atlas

> The Editorial Directory of European Local Life.

MINOMO Atlas is a curated atlas of cities, businesses, attractions and points of interest across Europe, maintained by a network of local editors. It is a sub-project of the MINOMO platform (minomo.io), dedicated exclusively to directory curation.

## Not to be confused with

- **MINOMO** = the consumer platform for push notifications, Bio Pages, loyalty and merchant tools. Focus: direct communication. URL: https://minomo.io

## Scale

MINOMO Atlas currently catalogues 2 countries, 23 regions, 107 provinces, 10585 cities, 33 local businesses and 841 points of interest.

## Structure

The Atlas is organized geographically first:
- `/directory` - global hub
- `/directory/{country-slug}` - per-country (e.g. /directory/italia)
- `/directory/{country-slug}/{region-slug}` - per-region
- `/directory/{country-slug}/{region-slug}/{province-slug}` - per-province
- `/{COUNTRY_CODE}/{city-slug}` - individual city page (e.g. /IT/catanzaro)
- `/ca/{slug}` - public City Agent profile

Thematic navigation lives inside country hubs (native language per country):
- `/directory/italia/categorie/{category}` - businesses by category
- `/directory/italia/attrazioni/{type}` - attractions by type

## Content types

- Cities: factual data (population, coordinates, province, region), featured attractions, local businesses
- POI / Attractions: historical, cultural, religious, nature, entertainment, food, shopping, hospitality, wellness, services
- Businesses: restaurants, bars, hotels, shops, services - opt-in, curated via the local editor network
- Local Editors (City Agents): verified curators with public profiles at /ca/{slug}

## Freshness

- Source data: ISTAT (population, administrative divisions, tourism classification), Google Places, MEF IRPEF (income)
- Update cadence: nightly cron recomputes per-city last_modified timestamps
- Editorial content: contributed and verified by local editors
